Help Preserve South Middlebush Scenic Corridor

The Franklin Town Council will hold an IN-PERSON meeting tomorrow, Tuesday, April 12, 2022 starting at 7:00 pm at Franklin Municipal Building (475 DeMott Lane). Masks will be optional. Please attend to voice concerns about overdevelopment. On May 5, 2022 the Franklin Zoning Board will hold a hearing for Sai Datta Mandir, the place of worship planned to be built at 583 S. Middlebush Rd. The first house of worship, Dada Bhagwan Institute, at 630 S. Middlebush Rd, has already been recently approved by Zoning Board. Both these houses of worship will be in an AGRICULTURAL zone, meaning that they will be taking away land that was originally intended to be used for farming! So not only will these result in loss of open space and decimation of forested ecosystem with its multitude of indigenous wildlife species, they will also jeopardize Franklin’s potential farmland and FOOD SUPPLY!
