Help Preserve South Middlebush Scenic Corridor

We now have a new reason to preserve the South
Middlebush Scenic Corridor: Almost the entire western
U.S. is now experiencing the worst drought since the
dust bowl of the 1930s, threatening food shortages!
Reservoirs have reached new lows and they may have
to shut down the Hoover Dam. Even the southeast U.S.
is experiencing drought. New Jersey, on the other hand,
is one of the few states with ample rainfall, our reservoirs
are full and we have plenty of water. Does it make sense
then, that instead of preserving the agricultural zone on
South Middlebush Rd so it can be used to grow much needed
crops, they want to decimate the forested ecosystem there,
with all its indigenous wildlife, and build houses of worship along
with parking lots for hundreds of cars, on land that could
otherwise be used to grow crops and alleviate food shortages?
Because of covid-19, more Franklin residents are food
insecure and needing the food bank than ever before. And
how much worse will the situation get when the full impact
of the drought is felt?
