Help Preserve South Middlebush Scenic Corridor

Here a summary of what happened at last night's Franklin Town Council meeting: They held the public portion first, before the regular meeting started, which was convenient as we were able to get in our comments and questions without having to wait long, and several of us spoke in favor of preserving South Middlebush Rd Scenic Corridor. They told us that while the Zoning Board is giving engineering testimony, we can attend the meetings but ask questions only pertaining to what was discussed during the testimony. But the Town Council and Zoning Board did reassure us that eventually, after all the testimony is finished, the Zoning Board will have a meeting in which the public will be invited to express questions, comments, opinions about any and all aspects of the project. And please don't anyone get discouraged. The good news is our petition, "Help Preserve South Middlebush Scenic Corridor," since it was started on February 7, 2021, now has 2,044 signatures (and climbing fast!) and at least 80 people (I lost count!) have left comments on the petition! But it is also important that as many of you as possible attend these meetings, both the Zoning Board and Town Council meetings! While we are waiting for the Zoning Board to finish all testimonies, we can still attend Town Council meetings and express any and all questions and opinions we may have.
