Remove tour manager from your future tours
Remove tour manager from your future tours
The Issue
As many of you know, Harry Corrigan of No Good News and Bellwether sexually assaulted a 17-year-old. Between the time this incident first came to light in November 2013 and No Good News' signing to Pure Noise Records in May 2015, the current tour manager for Four Year Strong, Transit, and A Loss For Words) did the following to cover up for his rapist friend and prevent others from holding him accountable for his actions:
- He threatened Christian Holden, who made the original post bringing the incident to light. This is discussed here: http://www.wonderingsound.com/feature/the-hotelier-interview/
- "A lot of people in pop-punk bands decided they wanted to threaten me and then this dude, who tour manages the Wonder Years, called me up and went non-stop for 20 minutes, telling me his uncle was going to sue me because he’s cousins with Harry."
- He lied to numerous people in the music industry that the situation had been resolved and that the victim had apologized to Harry and had taken down her posts. From an email the tour manager sent to Jason Tate, who runs AbsolutePunk.net:
- "[Christian Holden] liked the same girl that Harry liked and was upset she was giving Harry her attention. She already reached out months ago, apologized, and took her things off the internet that Christian badgered her into writing."
Both of these are blatant lies. Christian did not know either Harry or the victim before the incident was brought to his attention. Additionally, the victim never took her posts down. These lies were sent to several different people in the music industry. From emails sent by Pure Noise Records to fans, it is clear that the tour manager's lies played a part in why No Good News was able to sign to Pure Noise in the first place.
This man should not be allowed to abuse his position of power further by being present on nationwide tours. Please petition Four Year Strong, Transit, and A Loss For Words to remove him from any future tours and help ensure the safety of any young girls or women who attend their shows.
