Fort Worth Re-Zoning Request of 5819 Bowman Roberts | C4 Lease/Mary Nell Poole #ZC-23-022
The Issue
The Property Located at 5819 Bowman Roberts is requesting that the zoning be changed from "AG" designation to "PD/D" Planned Development with High Density Multifamily with development standards for parking, supplement building setbacks, building orientation, perimeter fencing, open space, and waiver to the MFD submittal.
All homeowners in the Bowman Estates, Marine Creek Ranch, and Greenfield Acres HOAs would be affected.
This rezoning is problematic due to:
1) Increasingly dangerous added traffic to Bowman Roberts road when we already have too many accidents leading to the moniker "Dead Man's Curve."
2) Neighbors along the fence line of this property will have to deal with reduced setbacks if the owner's requests for shortening the set-backs are granted.
3) Local Schools are already overwhelmed with loaded classrooms. Adding to the already large burden is unfair to the education of current students.
We must act now because the owner was given 60 days (till May 21, 2023) from the hearing on March 22, 2023 to conduct a road study to discredit the local citizens and prove us to be wrong.
We Petition that the land will stay AG or be rezoned to the same designation as the above-listed HOA homes.
