Happy New Year, Wolcott!

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday break. We are starting 2026 with a major step forward in our fight for fair school photography pricing.

I am writing to give you an update on tonight’s Town Council meeting. I am pleased to share that I successfully presented our case and read my formal statement to the Council members.

Tonight, I personally handed the Council members a data packet including an Executive Summary of Price Disparities and a Resource Fact Sheet. These documents—backed by actual receipts from this school year—show exactly how Wolcott families are paying more for less value and choices compared to our neighboring district.

The Next Steps:
During the meeting, I requested a timeframe for a formal response regarding these price discrepancies and our call for a more competitive bidding process for the 2026-2027 school year. Everything is now officially in the hands of the Town Council, and we are awaiting their response.

I will be attending the next Town Council meeting on January 20th to follow up on this matter and see what progress has been made.

How you can help right now:
While we wait for a formal response, we need to keep the momentum high so the Council knows the entire community is standing behind this request.

1. Continue to Share: Please keep sharing this petition with Wolcott parents and residents. Every signature strengthens our voice and shows the Council the scale of this concern.

2. Email the Town Clerk: If you haven’t already, please send a polite email to Cindy Ammaral at camaral@wolcottct.org. Let her know you support the petition for competitive bidding and fair-market value. Please share your own photo-buying experiences and explain why our families deserve better value and more competitive pricing. These emails are shared with the Council and become part of the official public record.

Thank you for your continued support and for standing with me to ensure our families are treated fairly!

Best regards,
