During CES 2015, Ford motor company introduced Sync3 with Android Auto and Apple Car Play.

The promise was that every car owner with a 2016 car model purchased with Sync3 will get AA and CP. 

Later on when 2016 model cars released, Android Auto and Apple Car Play were not included as part of version 1.0. A promise was made via multiple reputable social media outlets that an update will come in a form of an OTA (Over The Air) update by"Summer of 2016" that will include support for AA & CP.

When summer 2016 arrived, that promise had changed to "Later in the year of 2016". 

it is now end of December of 2016, and still no sign of the update. Thousands of owners are still eagerly waiting for the update to arrive, Ford in additional to not providing the update also noted that Apple users will need to purchase an additional hardware to get Apple Car Play on their new 2016 Sync 3 systems. 

As for Android users, no such hardware required. Ford released 2017 car models with Sync 3 version 2.0 update Pre-Loaded with AA and CP, leaving 2016 owners out of the loop. 

We request Ford to honor their promise and do good by the owners of the 2016 models who purchased the car based on the knowledge that the update will arrive during summer 2016.
