Over the last 20 years the small truck market has been eliminated by the major motor vehicle companies, but the need and desire from the public has not been erased. There is a large demographic of truck buyers that are yearning for a reasonably priced small/compact truck like that of the Nissan hardbody, S10, first gen Tacoma, Dakota, etc. The new ‘mid sized’ trucks are larger and carry too high of a price tag too appeal to that market. Go on any vehicle resale site and you will see that a good condition, low miles, compact truck of old is extremely desirable and sells instantly. There is a cry in the American market for this need to be filled. The goal of this petition is to bring to light the void and hopefully return a small truck option back to the North American truck market.
