Hello,
This is my contribution to Citizen's Discussion at Tuesday's City Council meeting:
Good morning,
I have discussed the legal flaws in the land swap between the city and the Broadmoor many times.
What has the City Attorney's Office told the City Council behind the scenes?
Is the appraisal that was submitted by the Broadmoor for the land that was owned by the Cog Railway valid or invalid?
Is the Conservation Easement valid?
Was the public comment process valid?
Is the city trying to conceal the fact that the land swap has to be reversed because the appraisal that was used in the land swap is no good?
If not, why is the city refusing to provide this information to me?
I have been asking the same question for 8 and a half years.
Rocky Mountain Field Institute does work the trail on our land every summer.
Please provide me with their estimate of the cost of all needed repairs to the trail on our land.
This land was appraised at $1.3 million; does it need $1 million in repairs?
If this land which was valued at $1.3 million needed $1 million or more in repairs at the time of the public comment process the city would have had to inform the public.
If the city found out that the land needed $1 million or more in repairs after the land swap was approved the city would have to inform the public that an oversight was made during the public comment process.
How much will it cost to do all needed repairs to the trail on this land?
Thank you, Carl Strow
