This is my contribution for Citizen's Discussion for Tuesday's City Council meeting:
Good morning,
It has been four years since the closing of the land swap between the City and the Broadmoor Hotel.
I am still asking for specific dollar amounts for each type of work needed on the section of the Barr Trail that we acquired.
If the City claims that they have still not investigated the specific financial needs of the trail such a claim would not be believable.
The only answer I have been given is that it needs $40,000 of maintenance each year. That reply does not come close to satisfying my inquiry.
The City is acknowledging that the appraisal submitted by the Broadmoor is invalid by refusing to give a relevant answer to such a simple question.
If the answer did not force the reversal of the land swap the City would be forthcoming.
The City may not refuse to disclose this information to the public. The people owned Strawberry Fields and the City must disclose to the public that we have identified a fatal flaw in the transaction.
All land must be returned to its original owners immediately.
