Force accusation

The Issue

I am writing to document my experience working at Levi's at Woodbury Commons Store 443. I started off as an associate and quickly elevated in position, winning numerous recognition awards for my hard work and dedication. However, my experience took a turn for the worse after being promoted to part-time supervisor and working under General Manager Alexandria Zimmerman.

Under Ms. Zimmerman's supervision, my work environment became increasingly toxic and stressful. Her management style often involved belittling and berating employees in front of others, creating an atmosphere of fear and intimidation. This not only affected my own mental health but also the morale of the entire team.

Moreover, Ms. Zimmerman's communication skills were lacking, resulting in a lack of clarity and direction for the team. This led to confusion and miscommunications, which ultimately impacted the efficiency and productivity of the store.

Despite my efforts to address these issues with Ms. Zimmerman, the situation did not improve. I felt unsupported and undervalued in my position. It is crucial that employees feel respected, supported, and valued in their roles, in order to create a positive and productive work environment.

On November 14, 2023, an associate resigned from Levi's Woodbury Commons Store 443 and sent an email to all associates and upper management, detailing how she was mistreated while working under General Manager Alexandria Zimmerman. Four days later, a printed copy of that email was found in the break room under my email name, and Alexandria accused me of printing it out and placing it there for staff to see. I did not commit such an act.

On the morning of November 18, 2023, I arrived at the store to open for the day and noticed a printed copy of the email sent by the resigned associate, with my email name printed at the top of the page. As I read through the email, I felt shocked that Alex wrote on that email in black pen saying in detail " why would i print that out". However, I was also confused and concerned as to why my email name was attached to the document.

Alexandria called me out accusing me of printing out and posting the email in the break room. Not only was I taken aback by the accusation, but I was also hurt that Alexandria would assume I would do something like that.

After Alexandria's accusation, I immediately denied it and saw that Ginell Anderson's email was left open on the desktop so to prove a point i printed out that same email to show how easy someone could have done it to me, not knowing that was against company policy. I explained that I was not involved in printing out and posting the email and that I was just as confused as she was as to why my email name was attached to it. I also expressed my disappointment in being accused publicly without being given the chance to defend myself.

Furthermore, I suggest that we work together to investigate the situation and find out who was responsible for the posting of the email.

Unfortunately, I have been terminated from my position due to that accusation stating it was inappropriate behavior. Despite numerous attempts to not investigate the matter thoroughly, the district manager, Jennie Simon, came to a decision without giving me ample time to defend myself and terminated me.

To this day, I am left with an unsettling question as to who was responsible for the alleged act. I believe that a thorough investigation is necessary to ensure that the correct person is held accountable for their actions. However, I was not given the opportunity to prove my innocence, and instead, I was terminated from my position.

I take my professional conduct very seriously and have always strived to maintain a high level of integrity and respect in my workplace. I am deeply saddened by the events that have transpired, and it is my hope that a fair and just resolution can be reached.

In conclusion, I would like to express my gratitude for the opportunity to work with such a great team. I am proud of the work that we accomplished together, and I will always cherish the memories that we created. Though my time with the company has come to an end, I will always look back on this experience with fondness and appreciation.

This letter is to inform you that I have obtained legal counsel for being harassed, discriminated against, for being treated bias, as well as having to perform in toxic environment under the supervision of Alexandra Zimmerman, Karl Vatore and Ginell Anderson.

Thank you for your understanding. If there are any questions or concerns, please feel free to personally contact me by email at baviles0713@gmail.com.

Thank you,

Brenda Aviles
