As a referee, I have seen the immediate offsides rule leave the attacking defenseman out to dry on the blue line for huge hits, some pretty serious injuries because they’re waiting for somebody to come out of the zone. 
They have three choices 
1. dump it in and it’s offsides 
2. throw it back to their goalie three 
3. take the hit 

We used to be able to have 15 minute periods, but now with all of the extra whistles games are constantly under curfew threat.  

We have also seen the whistles benefit the teams that are off side by stopping potential breakaway going the other direction. Also there is a lot more actual breakaways because the defensemen doesn’t have anywhere to go with the puck. 
 
It stops the flow of the game relentlessly, accidentally and intentionally  

This is not helping the game, or the players in anyway and I have yet to meet one single person in favor of this hideous change to our game. 

Dear USA Hockey, we are your customers and this is what we want.  We not unintelligent boobs that are new to the sport, moreover most of us have been in the game our whole lives. That’s no justification for this change. I have yet to meet a single person outside of USA Hockey Headquarters that is in favor of this change. The experiment is over, it’s been a horrible experience please make the correction for the 23-24 season before we lose more  teams and players To AAU.  Hockey is supposed to flow not stop every 10 seconds.
