For a clear visual this is the location where Luke was surrendered to JERRY. Do you see by this map that For the Love of a Paw (Floap) organization is just a 1/2 mile from where Luke lived and where JERRY rescued him from? That #floap members drove by Luke how many times in a day, a month, or even in 1 year? They drove by him for over 4 YEARS! JERRY did the one thing for Luke that NO ONE else would do, but could have: was to rescue him. As a family we cared for Luke when no one else would, but very well could have. We provided Luke a healthy environment, a secure yard, and a loving home when no one else would however like us very well could have. We gave him the prescribed baths he needed with medicated shampoos every other day. Assured he recieved his prescription medications as prescribed. Transported him to the vet for each appointment to provide him with familiarity in a unfamiliar situation like a car ride or a vet appointment. We unconditionally loved him when no one else wanted to or would. It wasn’t hard to ask Luke’s previous owner for Luke... he surrendered him to Jerry (but sadly in Luke’s case it took approximately 6 years and JERRY to do it). The hard part is the daily care, the rehabilitation, and socialization that we provided Luke that ensured him back to health and happiness something FLOAP themselves couldn’t provide!. Floap couldn’t give him the basics. Luke was living his very best life. Luke is not just a dog he is part of our family and he belongs with the only loving family he has ever known. All we truly want is for Luke to come home to our family. We miss and love him dearly.
