Luke’s Plea 

Please help.... I was stolen from the only loving caring family I have ever known on February 19, 2021. I am approximately a 4-6 year old lab mix.

I have been neglected my entire life. Everyone in the community would look the other way when they would drive by me on the side of the road until a kind and compassionate man named Jerry started to stop and feed me as he went to work. Jerry saw how bad I was looking and he convinced my owner to surrender me to him and Jerry rescued me and took me off the street. Jerry wanted me to find a forever home and contacted For the Love of a Paw (FLOAP).

In the 6 days that FLOAP-Mutts had me I ran away from them two times to escape the cage they put me in. Each time FLOAP called Jerry to find me when I would run away from them and the last time Mr Jerry who I now consider my Dad brought me home.

You see Jerry and Tammy are my rescuers. Jerry rescued me off the street and made me safe. They were ensuring my next placement was going to be suitable, safe, and loving. Mr Jerry told Brandy (Floap representative) I deserved that. Therefore no foster paper work was requested and I wasn’t surrendered because FLOAP did not materialize proper placement for me. In total about 3 months passed without a suitable foster or adoption placement for me. 

While I was with Jerry and Tammy, I had my first bath, got my own fluffy bed, made best friends with his other rescued dogs, had my first family Christmas, learned how to finally be a dog and most importantly was part of a loving family. I was so happy to finally be apart of a family. I found my forever loving home. New Years 2021 Jerry gave FLOAP a curtesy call to notify them that I had become part of their family and that they were keeping me therefore no foster/adoption placement was no longer necessary or needed.

Brandy from Floap notified Niki the adoption coordinator of this decision and she contacted my family about the adoption paperwork they were to  provide to my Mom and Dad to fill out, as well as a $200 adoption fee; even though I belong to Jerry and Tammy they had agreed when they provided the paperwork it would formalize the occasion. However FLOAP never provided the paperwork as they stated they would and they cruelly tricked my Mom and Dad by stating I had a follow up visit for my neutering  procedure. My mom drove me an hour to my veterinarian appointment and she was told the vet would call her to pick me back up... but she never received that phone call. Instead Brandy stole me from the vets office and refuses to let me go back home to the only family I have ever known. The last time I seen my mom I didn’t want her to leave... I quickly jumped back in the front seat with her. My mom and Dad truly love me unconditionally and I miss them so much. I just want to return home with my family. They did for me what no one else would but could have to include FLOAP. My dad and mom rescued me, love me, took care of me, and protected me. They are my voice and continue to be my voice because they love me.
