On November 18th, the French Parliament gave the final approval to a law that puts an end to the commercial exploitation of wild animals. It marks the END OF WILD SPECIES IN CAPTIVITY such as dolphins.
And here, in Spain, we are still the BIGGEST PRISON FOR DOLPHINS IN ALL OF EUROPE.
Spain has the opportunity to show that if it cares so much about its ecological transition, it is absolutely necessary to take into account animal rights. By passing a law prohibiting dolphinariums, Spain would demonstrate a real change in our relationship with nature. One of respect and not of human exploitation.
In France, within the next five years dolphins will not be able to be used and exploited in aquariums. They can only be kept there when they are part of scientific research programs approved by the State. What is Spain waiting for to end this atrocity? With trade and capture purely for economic benefit.
It is not education, it is MISEDUCATION.
It is not about Science: we must study them in their habitats where they belong.
And in the case of the absurd excuse of extinction, dolphins, luckily, are not yet in danger of extinction, so let's stop lying just for profit.
Even the Brigitte Bardot Foundation, one of the most active associations in the defense of animal rights in France, has described the law as "historic" and that in its opinion allows the country to stop being one of the worst in Europe.
Mr. President, where does Spain want to be?
I need more signatures. Please sign my campaign, share it. Help me to save these animals so that their future generations can be born, grow up, live and die in freedom in their habitat.
