The Issue

For National Highways to implement signage at Moss Farm Shop on the A5 (Norton Canes) for no right turns.

Following the coroners Prevention of Deaths report, we believe turning right at this junction is a hazard to drivers and motorbikes. In memory of Nathan Cyster who sadly lost his life when he collided with a car pulling out from the junction.

The A5 is a busy road which allows access from Brownhills through to Cannock and onwards to the M6 and M6 Toll. The area has seen increased traffic recently due to the works at Yorks Bridge in Pelsall.

Multiple accidents have happened on this stretch of road, some resulting in deaths causing unimaginable pain to those families and friends who have lost a loved one.

The road should be reviewed and measures put in place to keep all pedestrians, drivers and motorcyclists safe on this road.

In addition to the above, we would like National Highways to review and update the road markings, road layout and signing along this stretch of the A5 to ensure that it is safer for all road users.
