We, the undersigned, call on Riot Games to ensure a fair and transparent ticket sale for the 2024 League of Legends World Championship. The current ticket sales process is dominated by bots and third-party resellers who purchase large quantities of tickets only to resell them at significantly higher prices. This has left many fans with no chance to purchase tickets at regular prices, forcing them to buy overpriced tickets on the secondary market.

A particularly alarming example is that tickets sold out completely just 2 minutes after sales began. This raises serious doubts about the credibility of the sales process and whether real fans had any opportunity to purchase tickets in the first place. Such extreme sellout times strongly suggest that bots acquired the majority of tickets, causing great disappointment for genuine fans.

Community examples show that ticket prices have risen many times over, making it unaffordable for many fans to attend the World Championship. This system allows third parties to profit at the expense of true supporters, depriving fans of the experience they deserve.

Additionally, the resale of tickets through the official platform comes with excessive service fees, further complicating access to events.

We therefore call on Riot Games to:

1. Structure ticket sales in such a way that bots and other automated systems have no chance of purchasing large quantities of tickets.
2. Cancel and return any tickets identified as having been purchased by bots to the official ticket pool for resale.
3. Introduce personalized tickets that cannot be resold.
4. Establish a return option where tickets can only be returned to Riot Games, with these tickets being resold at the original price through the official platform.
5. Ensure that once tickets are in the cart, they are secured and reserved for a period of 10 minutes, giving buyers sufficient time to complete their transactions.

Other major events have shown that such measures work and protect fans. Only by implementing these changes can Riot Games ensure that the 2024 League of Legends World Championship remains an event accessible to all fans, not exploited by profiteers. Riot Games, we are counting on you to make these changes and provide a fair experience for true fans!
