**CALL TO ACTION: CONTACT BOARD MEMBERS, SHOW UP AT MEETING THIS WEDNESDAY**
Thank you for signing the petition advocating for the educational well-being and security of our children in AAPS. We take pride in the signatures gathered from within our community, including endorsements from distinguished scholars in the fields of law, medicine, and social services. Your continued support is crucial and here are three effective ways to further direct your efforts:
Attend and Make Your Voice Heard:
PLEASE join us at the meeting on Wednesday for support and/or SIGN UP HERE to either speak or submit commentary to be read on your behalf. (you MUST sign up no later than Wednesday 1/17 at 3pm). Due to the high number of speakers, plan to keep your comments under one minute. Use the petition content and comments for talking points, emphasizing the negative impact this resolution has on our community's unity and the need to focus on local school board issues.
Contact Our Elected School Board Members:
Write individual messages and/or call each elected Board Member (Contacts below), reiterating the concerns shared in the petition. Emphasize the importance of adhering to their own Code of Conduct and refocusing on the essential matters related to our local schools. Remind them that a Ceasefire Resolution is not aligned with their responsibilities as elected members of a school board.

Spread the Petition:
Spread the petition among your network, reaching out to individuals connected to Ann Arbor, such as U of M students and alumni, current and former AAPS students, parents, and grandparents of AAPS students. Urge every member of their household to sign the petition. Together, our unified voices can create a meaningful and influential impact.

Please note that although a resolution recently passed in AA City Council, it should be non controversial for school boards to stay out of international politics.
The proposed resolution is scheduled for a vote at the meeting this Wednesday, January 17 @ 7pm at Pioneer High School’s Schreiber Auditorium (This serves as an alternative venue to accommodate the anticipated record-breaking attendance). Your attendance at this meeting for the students of AAPS and our community at large would be greatly appreciated.
