The plan to construct a flyover starting from DIGHALIPUKHURI to Bamunimaidaan is going to be totally useless. It is a waste of taxpayers money and will cause a huge congestion of traffic during the construction period (3 years minimum). DIGHALIPUKHURI area is known for its green beauty and hundreds of people go there every morning for morning walks, Yoga and exercise. Plus, its going to affect the lives of thousands of residents of the area, specially in the area of SILPUKHURI and GUWAHATI CLUB. After the completion of the bridge, hundreds of shops (which are now on the main road) will come under the bridge, and thus will lose their income. 

What is reason for constructing such a  long bridge? There's no major traffic in that area.

The plan should be dropped immediately and let the people of Guwahati live in peace.
