Our Florida DCF is under funded and understaffed, the workers are overloaded with cases and are not paying attention to detail as they should due to these circumstances! There are abuse and neglect cases being overlooked and children are taken from homes while case is undergoing “investigation” just to be put right back into these situations. These helpless children are subjected to neglect, abuse, and sadly enough even death as a result! Something has got to give. There has to be a better way to prevent such senseless results! Florida needs to step up and restructure their DCF system. There is no reason these babies should be placed back into depolarable situations and it is DCF along with our court system’s duty to make sure that doesn’t happen, yet the system continues to fail! Let’s set higher standards for accountability in the Courts and State system.
