The students at FGCU did not sign up to take all online classes, but are now being forced to take rigorous courses that could negatively effect their GPA. The reality of the situation is students now have to change their routine and learning techniques halfway through the semester, with the distractions of being home. Having a pass or fail grading style allows the students who have trouble learning on the computer, an advantage and will make the abrupt transition to online classes easier.
