Because there are several people who will no longer be able to animate if this website is taken down. People will no longer be able to express themselves. They will also lose many of the friendships that have been made on this website.

This is also to prove that it is NOT needed to take down this website just because there will be a different verison on the 3DS. Terminating the website will not necessarilly attract any more customers to the new application.
