As a resident of the Baywood Section of Brick, NJ, specifically Monterey Drive, I (we) are deeply concerned about the drainage issue that has been causing major flooding at the end of our block. The water is approximately 1.5-2 feet or better continuously when we have rain storms and is destroying our properties and motor vehicles.

This situation has been brought to the town's attention for years but has fallen on deaf ears. We are trying to have this situation corrected prior to the town completing all of the work they have been doing for water and sewer prior to the final phase of the paving project which is coming soon.

Paving would be a total waste of township money and our taxes if this drainage issue is not corrected first! It is damaging the undercarriage of all our vehicles, and damaging our property, pavers, and landscaping. If there’s ever an emergency we would not be able to get out!

We urge you to take immediate action in fixing this drainage issue before it causes any more damage or poses a threat to residents' safety. We demand that you prioritize this matter as it affects many families in our community.

We believe that fixing this problem will benefit everyone in the Baywood Section by preventing further damage from flooding while also improving property values.
