A Small Update

Had a call from West Yorkshire Police yesterday. A senior officer in a specialist fraud department has looked at our case.

The conclusions were that ***** is a wholly dishonest person who came on board to have access to money and abused their position of trust. They offered up no reasonable explanation for why they helped themself to the club money. The Public interest test is throughly met and due diligence doesn’t apply in this case due to relationships formed between our former treasurer and the steward and his son. 

The recommendation is for the CPS to charge them.  The case now has to go back to the CPS for a charging decision. The DCI in charge is coming to see me on Friday at The Knowl.
