Now that the station is operational, MTM are responsible for operating, inspect and maintaining the lifts. However, after repeated incidents, the matter was escalated to the LXRP and alliance team a few weeks ago to rectify. The team identified a number of issues with the lift operations; work to address these were completed last week.

On Monday afternoon, I notified the Minister’s office and LXRP about the subsequent lift failure and the stressed the urgency of rectifying the issue as soon as possible.

The latest advice that I have is that while the lifts are currently operational, the cause of the outage on Monday is still being investigated.
