We call on Leicestershire County Council to urgently bring forward a clear plan to improve the Church Road and New Road junctions on the A6 in Kibworth.

These junctions were first identified as needing safety improvements nearly ten years ago, yet no detailed plan or timetable has been provided. Meanwhile, traffic has increased, new developments have been approved, and residents continue to face dangerous conditions every day.

It is unacceptable that cycling improvements on the Wistow Road roundabout are being prioritised ahead of fixing the two junctions that pose the greatest safety risks.

We call on the Council to:

• Publish a detailed plan and timeline for improvements to the Church Road and New Road junctions
• Rethink the current plans to prioritise the Wistow Road roundabout over the Church Road and New Road junctions 
• Allocate funding to deliver the upgrades at these junctions
• Release the evidence and modelling behind current decisions on A6 infrastructure

Kibworth has waited nearly a decade. It's time for these junctions to be sorted once and for all.
