No one likes the Chronicled Wish banners. While they technically give older characters a rerun, the Fate Points do not carry over to the next Chronicled Wish banner if you lose your 50/50.
Because of this system, you need a massive hoard of Primogems and wishes just to guarantee the character you actually want. It requires anywhere from 180 to 200 wishes, which takes months of dedicated farming—or costing a few hundred dollars out of pocket if you don’t have time to farm.
Normal, limited banners already give older characters reruns. If someone wants classic five-star units, normal banners are the perfect way to bring them back safely. Characters like Wanderer, who so many people want, deserve to get a normal rerun banner back. Many players want newer five-star characters, but that does not mean we don't want older, less meta five-stars too! We shouldn't be penalized for missing a character's original banner run.
 
🛑 Stop the Gacha Scam: Make Fate Points Carry Over!
Right now, Genshin Impact’s Chronicled Wish banner is an absolute trap. Unlike limited character banners where your pity safely carries over to the next cycle, Chronicled Wish wipes out your Fate Points completely when the banner ends. If you run out of wishes before hitting your guarantee, your hard-earned Primogems are gone forever. This is entirely anti-player and unfair.
 
⛓️ Older Characters Shouldn't Be Locked in Prison!
Amazing legacy characters are being locked away for nearly a year at a time just to be thrown into this high-risk banner format. We shouldn't be forced to risk losing a 50/50 guarantee just because we want to play our favorite classic characters.

Fix the Pity: Rework the Chronicled Wish mechanics so that Fate Points permanently carry over between banner cycles, ensuring players never lose their progress.
Bring Back Real Reruns: Give older characters standard limited banners—even 1-week flash banners—so the community can safely utilize regular limited guarantees.
Establish Consistent Timelines: Implement reliable rerun schedules and consistent banner time spans across the board.

This petition aims to fix a standard issue most players face, with absolutely no hate intended toward the developers. In fact, we want to thank HoYoverse for their incredible generosity toward Genshin players in the upcoming Version 7.1 update. Giving the community the choice of a free limited 5-star, 20 free wishes, massive Archon Quest rewards, and an additional Standard 5-star selector is an amazing step forward. New characters help our accounts grow in ways that we choose, and we appreciate it!
We simply ask that this same player-first generosity be applied to our legacy rerun banners. Let's make our voices heard!
