The Issue

Dear DECA,

We, the dedicated player community of The Walking Dead: No Man’s Land, are coming together to call for meaningful improvements to the game’s core experience as we don’t feel like we are being heard.

Many players are willing and eager to invest time and money into this game—but ongoing technical issues, lack of support, and repetitive content are holding the game back from reaching its full potential. Long-time players who have been here since the inception of the game, who have poured thousands of dollars into this, are retiring because of these major issues. We implore you to please listen to what we have to say on the following issues.

🚨 Key Issues Identified by the Community

What the players are looking for:

1.Guild Wars

Guild wars has become the central pillar of player engagement, particularly as other game modes such as Challenges and Doomsday missions have grown repetitive and stagnant. As a result, it represents the most critical opportunity to rebuild trust and strengthen the relationship between the developers and the community. Prioritizing meaningful improvements to this experience would demonstrate a clear commitment to addressing player concerns and enhancing the overall quality of the game.

a.Guild Wars Disruptions Caused by Updates:

Updates deployed during Guild Wars are one of the most damaging and frustrating issues the community faces today.

Guild Wars is the most competitive and time-sensitive mode in the game. It is where players invest the most effort, coordination, and commitment as a team. When updates are pushed during an active war, they disrupt gameplay, create instability, and can directly impact outcomes—undermining the integrity of the competition.

This was not always the standard. In the past, updates were scheduled during Guild Wars breaks, ensuring that competitive play remained fair and uninterrupted. The shift away from this approach has caused significant frustration and avoidable disruption.

What makes this especially difficult for players is when these updates—often focused on new monetized content—interfere with an active war. Having a critical competitive event disrupted for the sake of introducing purchasable features sends the wrong message to a community that is already asking for stability and support.

Guild Wars remains one of the last core experiences keeping many players engaged.

We strongly urge that all updates be scheduled outside of active Guild Wars periods.

Protecting the integrity of this mode is essential—not only for fairness, but for maintaining the trust and commitment of the player base.

This is a clear, actionable change that would immediately improve the player experience.

Please do not let preventable disruptions continue to damage the most important part of the game.

b.Guild Wars “Blue Dot” Bug & Competitive Integrity

The “Blue Dot” bug remains one of the most critical and unresolved issues affecting Guild Wars. When it occurs, players lose swords through no fault of their own—directly impacting their ability to participate in the most competitive mode of the game. While it was previously possible to recover lost swords through customer support, that process has now been removed due to unintended competitive imbalances. As a result, players are left with no resolution when this issue occurs.

The bug continues to occur in multiple scenarios, not limited to its originally identified cause. Multiple support tickets have been sent in and the only response given is “We are aware and working on it” with no communication on what exactly is being done to fix this.

c. Limited Support hours for Guild Wars:

There is currently no reliable support system available when losses occur outside limited service hours. In guild wars it is a time sensitive issue and we need support immediately not days later when the war is over.

We fully understand that not all technical issues can be resolved immediately. However, the absence of both a fix, communication from DECA to the community, and a consistent support solution for such a high-impact issue is deeply discouraging for the community.

We are asking—respectfully but urgently—that these Guild wars issues be prioritized first and foremost, or that a fair and reliable system be implemented to protect players from unavoidable losses.

2.Doomsday Challenge Repetition & Player Burnout

The current structure of the Doomsday Challenge has led to significant player fatigue and disengagement.

Despite reaching higher rounds, players are required to replay the same limited map rotations repeatedly—often dozens of times each week. This repetition has remained largely unchanged for over a year, resulting in:

-Decreased motivation to participate beyond minimal progression
-A shift away from engaging with the mode as intended
-Increasing numbers of players opting out entirely
-What was once a challenging and rewarding experience has become routine and time-consuming without meaningful variation.

In addition to the above urgent issues, several long-standing community concerns continue to go unaddressed:

a.      Insufficient Round Passes: Even at higher levels, the number of round passes provided is far too limited. Increasing Round Pass availability is essential to reduce unnecessary repetition and improve overall engagement.

b.     Lack of Map Variety: The absence of new or rotating maps has created a stagnant experience. Introducing new Doomsday Challenge maps and implementing consistent map rotation is much more critical as opposed to coming out with new gear.

c.      Transparency in Call (Radio) Systems: Players are requesting clear, accurate, and truthful information regarding drop rates and chances when using calls, to ensure fairness and trust. The information in the game and sometimes even in announcements is not accurate or confusing. We ask that you please update the information appropriately and in a timely manner.

d.     Zombie Kill Point Cap: Increasing the point limit for zombie kills (from 100 to 200) would allow players to earn more XP, creating a more rewarding and balanced progression system.

e.      Adding DD maps and information to the weekly announcements

f.       Experience Points not being awarded: Players often invest experience points into non-hero survivors to avoid hitting the XP cap and store the XP instead. However, when they later scrap these non-hero survivors for 5-second upgrades, the invested experience points are not returned or displayed as expected. After submitting multiple support tickets, players are eventually compensated with the missing experience points.

We are asking for clear acknowledgment—and meaningful action.
Whether through increased round passes, refreshed map rotations, or structural improvements, the goal is simple: restore engagement and respect players’ time.
These are not new concerns. They have been raised consistently by the community over a long period—yet remain unaddressed and unresolved.
We are speaking up because we genuinely care about this game.
This isn’t isolated feedback. These are ongoing, persistent issues that continue to impact player experience, fairness, and long-term engagement.
This community has stayed loyal through years of challenges. We continue to invest our time, our energy, and often our money—because we believe in what this game can be.

But loyalty requires accountability.

We are not asking for perfection.
We are asking to be acknowledged.
To be heard.

And to see real action on issues that have gone unresolved for far too long.
Every lingering bug, every repeated system, and every unanswered concern pushes dedicated players closer to walking away.

This is a pivotal moment.

Please listen to your community.
Please prioritize the health and integrity of the game.
And most importantly—please act, before more of that community is lost.
