We should write / call to (and get their own constituents to write / call) the 4 senators / their legislative directors, to re-consider their poor NO decision.
5 voted NO to SCA-4 on 5/10/2023 (Wed):
Senator Anna Caballero (Chair) – She stressed voters were NOT deceived, so she voted NO. We must write to her about her BIG mistake on no deception embedded in Prop 19 publications. Her area is Merced, Madera and Fresno Counties.
Senator María Elena Durazo - didn't say anything. Ask why she did not say why she voted NO. Her area is Central Los Angeles and East Los Angeles.
Senator Nancy Skinner - didn't say anything. Ask why she did not say why she voted NO. Her area is cities in Contra Costa and Alameda counties along the 880 corridor, a major urban thoroughfare for commuter traffic and for commercial freight through the Port of Oakland and Oakland International Airport. Anchor communities include Richmond, Berkeley, Oakland, and San Leandro.
Senator Steven M. Glazer (also a member of the Elections & Constitutional Amendments Committee) Skipped out before the vote -- missing at the chamber. I heard he refused to vote on this, which means he let the NO decision result stand (silently denied SCA4). His area is majority of Contra Costa County, including the Highway 4 and I-680 corridors. This district blend communities along the Highway 4 corridor and joins them with the “LaMorinda” (Lafayette, Moraga and Orinda), San Ramon Valley, and Tri-Valley communities.
Senator Scott D. Wiener 916-651-4011 – The two lady senators sat beside him. Tell him his NO vote is damaging his future political career.
