Cada generación decide qué dejar a quienes vendrán después.
Nosotros podemos plantar un símbolo.

Una semilla de paz. De amor. De unidad. De esperanza.
Y un símbolo de libertad.
El Salvador sabe lo que significa vivir bajo el miedo. Durante años, demasiadas vidas estuvieron condicionadas por la violencia, las pandillas y la pérdida de la libertad cotidiana.
Hoy, el país conoce otra posibilidad.
Caminar. Reunirse. Crear. Soñar.
𝗟𝗮 𝗹𝗶𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗱 𝗻𝗼 𝗲𝘀 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲 𝘀𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗿 𝗱𝗲𝗹 𝗺𝗶𝗲𝗱𝗼. 𝗘𝘀 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗱𝗶𝗿 𝗾𝘂𝗲́ 𝗵𝗮𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗼𝘀 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗽𝘂𝗲́𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗻 𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗮.
Por eso esta visión tiene un significado especial en una tierra llamada 𝗘𝗹 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝘃𝗮𝗱𝗼𝗿.
Su nombre nos recuerda a Cristo y a un mensaje que ha sobrevivido siglos: amar al prójimo, servir, perdonar, reconciliar, levantarse y volver a comenzar.
Cristo del Pacífico puede dar a ese mensaje un lugar en el paisaje.
Desde Conchagua y La Unión, entre volcanes, montañas, el Golfo de Fonseca y el océano, la mirada cruza fronteras.
Y el Pacífico lleva una promesa en su propio nombre:

Un símbolo que nace en El Salvador y abre su horizonte hacia Centroamérica.
Somos países distintos, pero nuestros destinos nunca han estado separados. Compartimos tierra, mares, familias, migraciones, memoria, heridas, fe, sueños y futuro.
𝗟𝗮𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘀 𝗱𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗻 𝗻𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘀 𝗻𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀. 𝗟𝗮 𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘇𝗮 𝗽𝘂𝗲𝗱𝗲 𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗮 𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗿 𝗻𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗼𝘀 𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘇𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝘀.
Quizá Centroamérica no necesita solamente más carreteras, puertos, comercio y tecnología. También necesita símbolos que nos recuerden quiénes podemos llegar a ser juntos.
Cristo del Pacífico puede ser uno de ellos.
Un lugar de encuentro. Un lugar de regreso. Un lugar donde el viajero encuentre algo más que una vista.
Un lugar donde la diáspora escuche:
𝗧𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘃𝗶́𝗮 𝗲𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲 𝗱𝗲 𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗮 𝗵𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗮.
Un lugar desde donde nuevos Caminos puedan conectar comunidades, paisajes y pueblos de El Salvador y, algún día, de toda Centroamérica.
Porque caminar juntos puede enseñarnos también a imaginar juntos.
Y algún día, una niña o un niño mirará hacia este lugar y preguntará:
“¿𝗣𝗼𝗿 𝗾𝘂𝗲́ 𝗹𝗼 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘆𝗲𝗿𝗼𝗻?”
Que podamos responder:
𝗣𝗼𝗿𝗾𝘂𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗺𝗼𝘀 𝗲𝗹 𝗺𝗶𝗲𝗱𝗼 𝘆 𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗺𝗼𝘀 𝗹𝗮 𝗹𝗶𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗱.
𝗣𝗼𝗿𝗾𝘂𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗺𝗼𝘀 𝗹𝗮 𝗱𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼́𝗻 𝘆 𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗺𝗼𝘀 𝗮𝗰𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗼𝘀.

Cristo del Pacífico comienza como una semilla.
Una semilla de paz. Una semilla de amor. Una semilla de libertad. Una semilla de unidad. Una semilla de esperanza.
Lo que crezca de ella dependerá de todos nosotros.

Every generation decides what to leave to those who come after it.
We can plant a symbol.

A seed of peace. Of love. Of unity. Of hope.
And a symbol of liberty.
El Salvador knows what it means to live under fear. For years, too many lives were shaped by violence, gangs, and the loss of everyday freedom.
Today, the country knows another possibility.
To walk. To gather. To create. To dream.
𝗟𝗶𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗳𝗲𝗮𝗿. 𝗜𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗲 𝗱𝗼 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗼𝗺.
That is why this vision carries special meaning in a land called 𝗘𝗹 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝘃𝗮𝗱𝗼𝗿 - 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗼𝗿.
Its name recalls Christ and a message that has endured for centuries: love your neighbor, serve, forgive, reconcile, rise, and begin again.
Cristo del Pacífico can give that message a place in the landscape.
From Conchagua and La Unión, among volcanoes, mountains, the Gulf of Fonseca, and the ocean, the eye naturally travels beyond borders.
And the Pacific carries a promise in its very name:

We are different nations, but our destinies have never been separate. We share land, seas, families, migration, memory, wounds, faith, dreams, and a future.
𝗕𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗱𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀. 𝗛𝗼𝗽𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘇𝗼𝗻𝘀.
Perhaps Central America does not only need more roads, ports, trade, and technology. It also needs symbols that remind us who we can become together.
Cristo del Pacífico can be one of them.
A place of encounter. A place of return. A place where a traveler finds more than a view.
A place where the diaspora hears:
𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆.
A place from which new Caminos can connect communities, landscapes, and peoples across El Salvador and, one day, across Central America.
Because walking together can also teach us to imagine together.
And one day, a child may look toward this place and ask:
