My siblings attend Big Springs Elementary, and instead of feeling supported and safe, they feel like outcasts. Our family is continuously concerned about their well-being, and the principal's actions are at the root of these concerns. She quickly dismisses their experiences, calls them liars, and even screams at them when they try to share their side of events. It’s as if their voices are echoes in a hallway that no one listens to.

A school should be a beacon of safety and learning, yet my siblings face obstacles to both every day. They simply want to learn in an environment where they feel welcomed and understood, but it seems that the current leadership is failing them miserably. Just today, an incident highlighted the severity of this neglect: after school, one of my sisters narrowly avoided being stabbed in the neck by another student. When we reached out to the school, hoping for immediate action, hours passed with no response.
