Paul Currie has clearly demonstrated that he is racist and xenophobic, and these ideals of his actively put the BIPOC community at Reed in danger. The Reed Administration continues to do nothing, even defending him via word choice in emails. Time and time again this private institution turns its back on students in need and instead covers up harmful situations. The racist and xenophobic behavior of Paul Currie is disgusting and unacceptable, as is Reed’s response. He should be fired; there is no compromise possible. Reed students will not feel safe on campus until he is gone.
