The Issue
In 2014, Lieutenant Colonel Michael D Kepner II was convicted of two counts of assault of a subordinate 2nd Lieutenant, pushing them against a wall, grabbing their arms, and twice making sexually suggestive comments. He admitted to this in an interview. He retired with full benefits and gained an honorable discharge.
He is now the Director of the Office of Military and Veteran Student Success at the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Florida. This is in spite of his previous behavior at Valencia College in which he made racist statements against staff, was abusive to his subordinates, and fired after being found to ineffectively lead personnel.
In spite of his conviction, the public's outcry, and the fact that UCF has acknowledged their system had severe errors in recruiting, UCF has allowed him to maintain his position in spite of all his past actions https://archive.ph/YhPL9
A racist, abusive, and convicted sexual assaulter should not in any way be allowed to be involved in the education of future community leaders, veterans, or future military personnel. He has proven himself to be an ineffective leader, a racist man, and an abusive personality in total. Tell President Alexander Cartwright and Provost Michael D. Johnson of the University of Central Florida and Ray Rodrigues of the State University System of Florida that Michael D Kepner II should not be allowed on staff and not be allowed to hold any position of power.
