When Mark Shapiro announced on Oct. 2, 2024 that GM Ross Atkins will retain his job until the end of his contract, it became clear that Canadian baseball fans need to raise their voices to Rogers Communications to take action and remove both "executives". 

A few things to remember:

• We haven't won a playoff game since 2016, suffering 3 embarrassing sweeps during that timeframe
• Vlad Jr. remains unsigned
• Bo remains unsigned
• Gabriel Moreno traded to ARI to win a Gold Glove
• Lourdes Gurriel Jr. traded to ARI to become an All-star
• Teoscar Hernandez traded to SEA for Macko and Swanson
• Donaldson (2015 MVP) traded to CLE for "player to be named later" (Merryweather), who we DFA'd in 6 months.
• Picked up Daniel Vogelbach TWICE
• Signed Morales over Encarnaction
• Overpaying for free agents (IKF, Roark, Morales, Kiermaier [2024]...)
• Less than half of Atkins' first round draft selections are still with the organization.
• I won't even start on the removal of Berrios vs the Twins, and the Front Office response.

We need both of these "executives" removed now and a new path forward. We love our Blue Jays and need a glimmer of hope for next year.
