Fire and charge Hailey MacGillivary with animal cruelty

Fire and charge Hailey MacGillivary with animal cruelty
The Issue
My cousin did the right thing. She secured two loose dogs in her yard and reached out to the authorities for help, trusting that they would provide the care and assistance these animals needed. Instead, what she witnessed was nothing short of a nightmare—a traumatic act that no one should have to see.
In East Gwillimbury, Ontario, representative of the Aurora Animal Services, Hailey MacGillivary arrived at the scene. But rather than rescuing the stressed-out dog, she resorted to violence. The dog, already distressed and seeking refuge, was killed in front of my cousin while she stood there, helpless and horrified. This is not animal control; this is animal cruelty.
This incident has left my cousin traumatized, a family without their pet, and shatters the trust that the community places in their local animal services. Those tasked with the care and safety of animals should not cause them harm. Imagine a world where reaching out for help means putting animals at risk—this should never be a reality.
We, as a community, demand accountability. Hailey MacGillivary should be fired and charged with animal cruelty. Her actions are unacceptable and warrant a legal response to prevent future harm to the animals that rely on our protection.
Statistics show that effective animal control practices involve non-violent solutions that prioritize the welfare of animals.
By signing this petition, you are standing up for the voiceless animals that have suffered due to the negligence and cruelty of those in power. Help us ensure that Aurora Animal Services re-evaluates their approach to animal care, and ensure justice for the innocent life lost.
Sign this petition today to send a clear message: animal cruelty is unacceptable, and those responsible must be held accountable.
