Further to my last update dated 31/10/2019 I find that there is an increase of 156 bank pensioners in last four days that works out to 39 per day. It suggests to me that my message has not reached or not understood by the bank pensioners properly. The main reason for this a observation by senior retiree leaders that the petition in change.org is not effective and is a waste of exercise. Because of this majority of bank pensioners have not signed. More over a feeling may be there that I am aspiring for leadership.It is not so . It is by chance I got into this website to help a senior citizen in respect of Interest rates to seniors few years back. My petition in this regard was accepted by Sri Modhiji. After this I gave three represtantations to PM directly to PMO on pension updation . and all the three were negatived with the reason " no funds" At this juncture there was new cabinet at the centre and Mrs Nirmasla Seetharaman took charge as finance minister. I wanted to try again with Mrs.Nirmala Seetharaman through a petition in Change.org. Now you know total supporters tally is 10246 . Here I have to say that my first success prompted me to raise this petition to Govt. Another development gave me confidence that my efforts will not be wasted was that during the time of receipt of my petition the finance ministry directed the IBA to renew the negotiations of bipartite.That is I started the petition in on June 7th, AS such I feel the new finance minister may consider our request. Hence I request all the bank pensioners to sign this petition right now since the negotiations are on and help themselve to get pension updation. Here I may add that if we do not try now we may not get updation during our lifetime. The bank managements may adjust the balance in pension corpus in due course to profit. So what is wrong in trying.. I request all the bank pensioners to sign the petition in large numbers enmass and show our resolve strenght and unity.
