We are a group of personnel working in the car trade with an exceptionally low basic pay of about $500 before CPF per month. Noting on the vulnerable and weak market for the past year, we do not bring home enough constantly. With the present measure to curb the spread of the COVID 19, we are facing greater hardships more than ever before. As retailing of the trade are forced to come to a full halt and we are literally earning at about SGD $400 plus a month after CPF (which is near to ground zero). The government have indeed been trying all ways to help Singaporean from all round, but it so happened that we belong to a group that is neither in the top group nor the bottom (which most of us are all in the latter bracket). Facing a near-total loss of income and mounting pressure from all essential expenses on-going, we are placed in a never before cruel and clueless situation. With all that in mind, we would like to seek more understanding from the Ministry of Finance or the NTUC task team to look into our plight as well. Truly and Sincerely hoping our plight would be addressed.
