As concerned citizens, we are deeply hurt and troubled by the content depicted in the trailer of the movie "Bad Newz." While we appreciate the creativity and effort put into filmmaking, we believe that this particular movie raises significant moral and ethical concerns, misrepresents women, and could negatively influence our youth.

Influence on Youth:

Vicky Kaushal, one of the lead actors in "Bad Newz," is a highly influential figure among the youth, admired for his roles in films that celebrate the Indian Army and historical achievements. His participation in a movie with themes of casual relationships and unexpected pregnancy can set a concerning precedent for young viewers who look up to him as a role model.

The storyline involving a one-night stand and heteropaternal superfecundation might inadvertently encourage irresponsible behaviour and casual sexual encounters among impressionable youth. Such content can lead to moral ambiguity and distort young people's understanding of relationships and ethical conduct. The impact on their developing values and principles can be profound and lasting.

As a society, we have a responsibility to ensure that the media consumed by our youth promotes positive values and responsible behaviour. Movies play a significant role in shaping perceptions and attitudes, and this influence must be constructive and aligned with societal norms and ethics.

Moral and Ethical Concerns:

The plot of "Bad Newz" revolves around themes that might contradict the values and principles upheld by many in our society. The portrayal of such themes can lead to moral ambiguity and send the wrong message to viewers about relationships and sexual behaviour.

Representation of Women:

Such a portrayal can perpetuate harmful stereotypes about women and reduce their identity to mere sexual objects. Women must be portrayed with dignity and respect in media, and this movie, unfortunately, falls short in this regard.
