Every summer, families gather here to cool off and let their kids play. But with no barrier between the spray area and active traffic, children regularly run toward the road… wet, barefoot, and completely unaware of the danger. Parents are left constantly on edge, trying to watch multiple kids in a chaotic, open environment.

This isn’t about being overprotective. It’s about a straightforward safety gap that the Town of Golden has the ability to fix.

We’re asking the Town to install perimeter fencing on the 9th street south road-facing side of the spray park before someone gets hurt. This is a reasonable, affordable request, and our children deserve to play safely.
