Since its creation on 1989, the World Wide Web was always about uniting us people and making our daily tasks much easier.

This new technology which allowed users to connect reached new heights with the introduction of social media with sites like friendster and myspace.

Altough social media has its merits, it has introduced many dangers too. 

SOME include:

• Addictive Layouts Designed To Keep Users 
• Low self esteem 
• Anxiety From Peers
• Narcissistic Behaviors
• Security Problems

Due to this array of difficulties, various people have associated social media with mental issues.

And sadly, milennials and kids have been the primary victim of this unjust exposure to such disgusting and idiotic content human beings are somehow capable of creating.

I am a 12 year old man with two daughters, both of which (not surprisingly) love engaging in social networks. One of which is Discord. Now I would need to present to you my own social media horror story.

I wont bother you with unecessary details such as my daily routine and yadda yadda, but the important thing is Discord's Inability to implement safety precautions for what people of any age could pontentially find on a server.

I am aware of the whole #nsfw channel B.S, but that will never stop your online troll from completely taking over a server and posting pornography and (eek) gore.

When I arrived from work I was heading for upstairs when I saw something that made me wish I were in a really lucid hell nightmare.

My youngest daughter (13), was viewing porn that some creep posted on a fucking general channel for christ's sake!

When I asked her what the hell she was doing, she responded with, I kid you not,

"He says he wants his dick in my mouth"

Obviously, I quickly shut off the laptop she was using and put it away. I honestly dont think she even knows what she just said.

We have always been a catholic christian family and will always remain to be, there is no way on earth she would have any interest in sex whatsoever.

All of the things described above came into play on the user called mrwubbzy's server. (Damn him)

For anyone who have had a similar experiece or hates the amount a minor can be subject to via the internet, I ask that we notify discord to bring up their safety game for the better and take care of creeps and pedophiles that are waiting for their next opportunity to strike.

By taking these small steps, we can bring back the true meaning of the World Wide Web. Us.
