18 nov. 2015 — Update: 19 July 2016 Sadly David from Brisbane, Queensland passed away this morning from mesothelioma. He was 37 years old and leaves behind his beautiful soulmate Renee and 2 gorgeous children. Renee wrote these beautiful and sad words this morning: 'My beautiful man remains forever young at 37 years, 9 months and 14 days - he passed calmly at three this morning, to join his loved ones on the other side - watching over us forever. Please keep our family and our children in your thoughts, as we celebrate what a special person he was - someone who always put others first, who loved me and our children passionately, and who stayed hopeful until his last breath. We bickered like crazy, but that man was and will always be, my big love. David Fry 05 October 1978 - 19 July 2016 ❤️loved for eternity❤️'. David's wife Renee wrote their updated story tonight: 'David is starting keytruda on Tuesday!!! We've had a few really awful months, with lots of knock backs, tumour growth and spread; so hopefully this is the start of some good news!! Our oncologist arranged cost sharing for us with Merck, so it'll be around $5-6000 every three weeks per infusion.' March 2016 below: David's beautiful wife and soulmate has kindly shared their story below: At 31 years old, most of my friends are having babies, instead, I am supporting my husband through a hideous cancer, which will at some stage, claim his life. He is 37 years old. This amazing partner and daddy, has never smoked, he doesn't drink and he has always kept healthy - his own father's death from lung cancer ensured his vigilance - his mistake? He grew up in a house full of asbestos. My husband has pleural mesothelioma. All of our choices have been taken away from us - years have been stolen from our lives. This disease is soul destroying; more options for treatment need to be available. Our hope has been stolen, it needs to be restored.
