The injustice and insensitivity meted out on serving corp members used as INEC AD-HOC staffs in today's cancelled Presidential Election was totally outrageous. We are in service of our nation on a mandatory 1-year program and we didn't choose our locations. So many of us so far away from home were treated as slaves and rags were subjected to inhumane treatments which on a normal day we can never experience all in service of our Nation and ensuring a credible, free and fair election.

According to the electoral body's budget, a sum of 2.9 billion Naira was appropriated for RAC preparation, to the best of our knowledge no RAC centre was prepared. Various level of insecurity at some places, majority of corp members slept on the hard cold floor or out in the open with little or no consolation or remorse from INEC.

We hereby call on the Presidency, the Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps and the INEC Chairman to address this inhumane treatments of the nation's graduate before the next election date, RAC centres should be properly and adequately prepared, the least that can be done is at least provide beds for us.

Also we call for adequate compensation for yesterday/today's exercise, we deserve and have to be compensated. A lot of us were at INEC office and RA Centres from 1pm till 4am out in the cold, bitten by mosquitoes, sleeping on hard cold floor.

This is unfair and we so submit.
