The Issue

Send this message to Mitch McConnell: I'm the father of teenage boy(s) and I don’t believe “boys will boys” is an excuse for sexual assault. I understand consent. I’m committed to teaching my son(s) consent and respect in their relationships. I do not think sexual assault is acceptable, justifiable or excusable at any age. As a man, violence against women by men is something I’m committed to stopping from ever happening. As a father, I am committed to modeling the valuing of women and girls to my sons and daughters. As a citizen, I want my elected leaders to stop excusing rape, sexual harassment and all forms of male violence against women and take action. Please stop sending the message to the  boys and girls of the United States that girls’ bodies, spirits, minds and lives are valued less than boys’ and men’s. Please do the right thing.
