FARGO PUBLIC SCHOOLS GO FULL TIME!

FARGO PUBLIC SCHOOLS GO FULL TIME!
The Issue
The parents of the Fargo Public Schools would like to see our elementary children back in school near full time, if not full time. Our children deserve to be on a normal school schedule for their social and emotional development as well as educational development.
As the schedule is now, the majority of parents are scrambling to find childcare for their children through programs like the YMCA, Boys and Girls Club, and the like. The directors of these programs are scrambling also to find space, employees, and proper precautions to bring children in from multiple schools. Not only is this a stress on the parents to find care and afford the care but this is also a stress on the children, being lobbied from one location to the next. No consistency or feeling of a place they belong.
There is absolutely NO reason why our kids should be allowed to attend child care centers that are integrating multiple schools children but they cannot stay within the walls of their own schools with their own class and one teacher. Absolutely NONE.
I would like there be be more transparency with the committee if 18 who are making these decisions for our entire district. Who is making these decisions? Is it possible for 18 people to be able to make large decisions for 22 separate schools? Has the committee taken into consideration the survey that was held in June that the majority of parents would like their kids in school? We as parents deserve more transparency. We are a community and a team together.
I would love for all parents who are in this with me to sign. Help us get our kids back into school where they belong.
Suggested school schedule:
Monday - Thurs FULL DAYS ; Fridays off to sanitize.
Mon/Tue/Thur/Friday FULL DAYS with Wednesdays off to sanitize.
