Harvey Downer started this petition to Falmouth University (Vice-Chancellor's Office) and

Graduating students at Falmouth University are facing virtual graduation in response to the Covid-19 pandemic, despite the easing of restrictions. The Vice-Chancellors office is not looking for alternative solutions apart from having a zoom call. After all of our hard work after three years of studying, we believe we should have in-person graduation, even if it means we have to wait.

The class of 2020 has already waited one year for their graduation, and if this does go online, it would be a massive insult to all of their hard effort throughout the academic careers. The class of 2021 have had an incredible hardship already with having to complete their art degrees online without access to facilities. We also feel like online graduation is insulting and not worth our effort or our money we've invested in the institution.

We are all prepared to wait until it is safe to have in-person graduation, and the university should be pursuing all options to try and make this a possibility even if it means postponing graduation until a later date (Eg. September 2021). We are here to provide assistance and ideas to help make this a reality, all we ask is the Vice-Chancellor and her office listens.
