The problem that we’re facing in Virginia is that the government wants to take law abiding citizens guns and confiscating them from law abiding citizens. We have the right to bear arms under the second amendment of the United States Constitution. “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.” The Virginia government is trying to tread upon our constitutional rights to protect our selves and our families, label all law abiding arms bearing citizens as criminals, and charge law abiding citizens with a Class 6 felony for possessing guns of any kind!  We own legal guns to protect and defend our families. This bill is illegal and must be stopped. Virginians! We have to stand up now for what is right and protect our constitutional liberties! I’m asking the government of Virginia to stop this bill from going through and I’m asking the government of the United States to step in and protect our constitutional rights. Virginians, now is the time to stand up for what you believe, protect your families, protect your constitutional rights stand against what is wrong, do not allow the government of Virginia to take away your lawful guns that keep you and your family safe. I am calling on the Virginia House of Representatives and the Virginia Senate to keep this bill from passing. If our representatives really dig deep down in their hearts they will realize that labeling so many law-abiding citizens as criminals is wrong. This bill is more than confiscating guns from actual criminals, this bill treads of the lives and liberties of all Virginians. Categorizing law abiding citizens, based on a suspicion, with violent criminals is illogical and evil. We the people of Virginia need to stand up, protect our Constitution, and our families. Prohibiting sale, transport, etc., of assault firearms and certain firearm magazines; penalties. Expands the definition of "assault firearm" and prohibits any person from importing, selling, transferring, manufacturing, purchasing, possessing, or transporting an assault firearm. A violation is a Class 6 felony. The bill prohibits a dealer from selling, renting, trading, or transferring from his inventory an assault firearm to any person. The bill also prohibits a person from carrying a shotgun with a magazine that will hold more than seven rounds of the longest ammunition for which it is chambered in a public place; under existing law, this prohibition applies only in certain localities. The bill makes it a Class 1 misdemeanor to import, sell, barter, or transfer any firearm magazine designed to hold more than 10 rounds of ammunition.(cited from the NRA)
