When I first started this journey, I never imagined how much I would learn about our criminal justice system. Over the years, I have spent thousands of hours reviewing court records, trial transcripts, discovery materials, public records, and legal documents. That work has led me to identify constitutional concerns that I believe deserve careful review, including questions involving due process, search and seizure procedures, evidence handling, jury instructions, and the overall fairness of the proceedings.
This petition is about more than one case.
It is about ensuring that constitutional rights are respected, that concerns are heard, and that the justice system remains accountable to the people it serves. A strong justice system is one that is willing to examine difficult questions with honesty and integrity.
Since launching this petition, our advocacy has continued to grow. Through Divine Emerald Truth & Justice LLC, we are educating our community about constitutional rights, supporting families navigating the criminal justice system, and advocating for reforms that promote fairness, accountability, and transparency.
We are also working to bring greater awareness to the need for a Conviction Integrity Unit in Mahoning County—an independent process that can review credible claims of wrongful conviction and constitutional concerns.
