The Issue

Car enthusiasts in Pigeon Forge are being unfairly targeted. The police department is shutting down popular Slammedenuff gathering spots like the Brick Lot and Jimmy’s Market, claiming these areas are “unsafe.” Yet, these same lots have been open and used safely for years during past events without issue.

The Economic Impact of Slammedenuff:

Every year, Slammedenuff draws thousands of visitors to Pigeon Forge. These enthusiasts spend money at local hotels, restaurants, gas stations, shops, and attractions, directly boosting the city’s economy. Many businesses look forward to Slammedenuff weekend because of the surge in customers it brings. By restricting or closing down our events, the city is not only alienating a supportive community but also cutting off a major source of income for local businesses.

What makes this more frustrating is the clear double standard. Just last week, a truck meet took place in Pigeon Forge without any police interference. Other car shows and gatherings continue without being shut down. It feels like Slammedenuff enthusiasts are being singled out and segregated simply because of the type of cars and community we represent.

Car culture should be about unity, passion, and expression—not discrimination. The Slammedenuff community brings tourism, revenue, and positivity to Pigeon Forge. Closing down our lots unfairly punishes our group while giving others a free pass.

We call on the Pigeon Forge Police Department and city officials to:

Stop the unfair targeting of Slammedenuff events.
Reopen safe gathering spots like the Brick Lot and Jimmy’s Market.
Ensure fair treatment for all automotive enthusiasts, regardless of what they drive.

Let’s protect the Slammedenuff community, stand up against segregation in car culture, and keep Pigeon Forge welcoming for ALL enthusiasts.
