Petition for Transparent Tax Rate Disclosure in Pine Lake Park

We, the undersigned residents of Pine Lake Park, Manchester Township, are writing to express our concerns regarding the recent reassessment of property values in our neighborhood. 
The significant increase in property assessments, without a concurrent disclosure of the new tax rate, has left many residents feeling uncertain and anxious about our future financial obligations.

We acknowledge the necessity of fair property assessments to fund essential services. However, the lack of transparency regarding the new tax rate prevents us from understanding the full impact on our finances. 
We believe it is unreasonable to expect homeowners to wait until July 2025 for this crucial information, especially given the limited window to appeal the assessments.

We respectfully request:
1. Immediate disclosure of the new tax rate applicable to Pine Lake Park properties.
2. A clear explanation of how the new assessments and tax rate were determined.
3. An extension of the appeal period to ensure homeowners have adequate time to understand and respond to their new tax obligations.

We believe that transparency and open communication are essential to maintaining the trust and confidence of our community. We urge the township to address our concerns promptly and fairly.
