Staff at around 150 universities across the UK have been striking for fair and equitable pay, pensions and an end to precarious employment practices.

As a Master's student in Psychological Science at Queen's University, who also studied my undergraduate here, I have experienced first hand the detrimental impact that these strikes are having on both staff and students for four years. We are paying thousands of pounds to study, missing classes, experiencing delays in results etc. Anxiety is rising throughout campus, the impact of strikes, political stalemate in NI amidst a cost of living crisis is taking its toll on everyone. 

A pay rise matching the rising cost of living is crucial, and fair contracts for all staff! A decision must be made, things must change and now! This chaos, turbulence, and unfairness is seriously impacting our future!
